Before the 1st day of validity for outbound journeys: Free exchange or cancellation
On and after the first day of validity: Exchange or cancellation of flexible fare tickets for long-distance travel (ICE, IC/EC, IC Bus): EUR 19 fee. Exchange or cancellation of flexible fare tickets for local transport (DB Regio, transport associations, NE/SEE): EUR 17.50 fee
A long-distance fee is charged for journeys that combine long-distance and local transport on one ticket (single or round trip). This fee comes to EUR 19, and it is incurred for connections that use at least one long-distance train.
