The Wanderu app in ChatGPT helps you search and compare trips, but purchases are completed on wanderu.com. Here's how it works:
Ask ChatGPT to search for a trip (e.g., "Bus from Boston to NYC tomorrow")
Browse the trip options shown in the results card
Tap "Buy on Wanderu" on the trip you want
You'll be taken to wanderu.com to review details and complete your purchase
Why can't I book directly in ChatGPT?
For your security, all payments are processed through wanderu.com. This ensures your payment information is handled securely through our standard checkout process.
The price changed when I clicked through
Prices shown in ChatGPT are live at the time of your search, but they can change. Carriers may update pricing at any time based on demand and availability. The price on wanderu.com at checkout is always the current price.
The trip is no longer available
Trips can sell out between when you search and when you click to book, especially on popular routes and holiday weekends. If this happens, try searching again — there may be other departure times or carriers available.
