Within the first 24 hours of purchase (before the trip departs) your Via Rail ticket is fully refundable -Tickets can be cancelled directly on the Wanderu User Account (if you already have an account) or we can submit the request on your behalf.
To cancel your ticket within 24 hours of purchase on your Wanderu user account - please login to your account and click on your Via Rail upcoming trip. Once you open your upcoming trip information, you can follow the prompts to cancel your ticket. Your refund will automatically process and will post to your statement within 2-3 business days.

After 24 hours of purchase: If you are cancelling after Via Rail's 24 hour grace period, refund and cancellation fees will be subject to the ticket type you purchased. Via Rail has 5 fares: Escape, Economy, Business, Economy Plus and Business Plus:
Escape Fares - These tickets are non-refundable. However, we can submit a cancellation request on your behalf and you will receive a 50% credit off the total price paid. This credit can be redeemed by phone directly with Via Rail at 1-888-842-7245 by referencing the booking confirmation number of the cancelled reservation and is valid for 1 year.
Economy & Business Fares- These tickets are refundable for a 25% fee off the total price paid (minimum of $20.00CAD per reservation).
Economy Plus & Business Plus - Are completely refundable, no fees.
Please note the Wanderu processing fee will be fully refunded upon cancellation of your ticket.
