Know Before You Go

How much luggage can I bring on my OurBus trip?

Each passenger is allowed 1 large bag up to 50 pounds that can be stored under the bus, which must not exceed 62 inches when adding the total exterior dimensions of the piece (length + width + height), and 1 small carry-on bag that will fit in the overhead storage compartments or under the seat. Bikes are allowed, so long as they fit in the baggage bay and count as your one bag. See the OurBus FAQs for more details.

Does OurBus have amenities on board?

OurBus does offer WiFi, power outlets, and bathrooms on board most of its trips. Please keep in mind that since these are complimentary it is within the carrier's rights to not offer them on specific routes or if there are technical issues outside of their control.

Does OurBus have a discount for children or infants?

OurBus requires that all passengers above the age of 2 purchase a ticket for travel. You can book all of your OurBus tickets, even for little ones, on Infants do not require ticket.

Please note, OurBus child traveler policies may differ on a trip-by-trip basis depending on the bus operator. For example, children under the age of 4 may not be able to travel on specific buses.

Can minors travel alone on OurBus?

You must be at least 16 years old to ride on OurBus without being accompanied by an adult. If you are under 16 years old, you must ride with someone who is age 18 or older.

After Booking Your Ticket

I didn't receive my confirmation email or ticket from OurBus!

Remember to check your inbox/promotions or spam folder for the ticket emailed from OurBus.

In case you are still unable to locate it, you are able to resend your ticket to yourself by going on to logging in to your account or contacting OurBus by phone at 1 (844) 800-6828 or email [email protected].

Do I need to print my OurBus ticket?

OurBus does not require a printed ticket to board the bus. An E-Ticket is sent to you by email that you can load on most electronic devices. You will want to have your ticket ready to be displayed as you board for the agent to scan. 

How early should I arrive at the station?

We recommend arriving at least 20-30 minutes before the departure time to prepare for the boarding process. If you are unfamiliar with the departure station, it's always good to leave extra time to find your way around!

Do I need an ID to board my bus?

No, currently OurBus does not require an ID to board the bus. Of course, it is always a good idea to carry a government-issued ID whenever you hit the road.

Cancelling or Changing Your OurBus Reservation

Can I make changes to my ticket?

OurBus tickets cannot be changed, however you can cancel your original ticket and transfer the money to your OurBus Wallet. This credit will reflect in your Wallet immediately and you can use this to book another ticket on their website/app.
For instructions on cancelling, see below.  If you choose to cancel your non-refundable ticket with OurBus, the Wanderu processing fee will be fully refunded upon cancellation of your ticket.

Can I cancel my ticket and get a refund?

You can cancel your ticket by clicking on the "Cancel Ticket" button on your emailed ticket or by logging in to the OurBus website/app and finding the ticket under "My Passes", where you'll have the option to cancel.

If you do not have an account with OurBus, you can create one by going to their website and clicking on "Login" and then entering your email and password in the "Sign Up" tab.
Once canceled you will be offered a credit into your OurBus Wallet for the amount paid. Wallet credits can be used for your next purchase and have an expiration period of 5 years. Note: OurBus Wallet is a form of payment that can be used on the OurBus platform (both web & app).

You can also click the "track bus" link in your emailed e-ticket to see where your bus is. Or, you can also track your bus on your web browser by visiting[confirmationnumber].

I missed my bus! What do I do?

Catching the next trip out or requesting a refund for the unused ticket would be completely up to OurBus, since reservations and transactions are done directly with the carrier.

Usually, no refunds or credits will be given if the bus departure time has passed, but you can always contact OurBus to inquire at 1 (844) 800-6828.
