Know Before You Go

How much luggage can I bring on my Go Buses trip?

Each passenger is allowed one carry-on bag and one small, personal item to carry on the bus. Carry-on bags must be small enough to fit under the seat or in our overhead bins. Passengers are also allowed two suitcases or other large pieces of luggage with a maximum weight of 50 pounds.

Does Go Buses have amenities on board?

Go Buses does offer WiFi, power outlets, and bathrooms on board most of its trips. Please keep in mind that since these are complimentary it is within the carrier's rights to not offer them on specific routes or if there are technical issues outside of their control.

Does Go Buses have discounts for children or infants?

Infants aged 2 and under can sit on the lap of a fare-paying adult, with no ticket required. Go Buses requires that all passengers from age 2 and up purchase a ticket for travel.

Can minors travel alone on Go Buses?

You must be 18 years of age or over to make travel reservations with Go Buses. All individuals under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult when traveling. Young adults should be prepared to produce a photo ID with proof of age.

After Booking Your Ticket

I didn't receive my confirmation email or ticket from Go Buses!

Remember to check your email inbox/promotions and spam folder for an email from Wanderu. Go Buses does not issue tickets, you will only need your confirmation number to board the bus. If you need the confirmation email to be resent, email us at [email protected] and we can send it to you!

Do I need to print my Go Buses ticket?

Go Buses does not require a printed ticket to board the bus. An email with your confirmation number is sent to you, and you can simply show your confirmation code on your phone to the agent.

How early should I arrive at the station?

We recommend arriving at least 20-30 minutes before the departure time to prepare for the boarding process. If you are unfamiliar with the departure station, it's always good to leave extra time to find your way around!

Do I need an ID to board my bus?

No, currently Go Buses does not require an ID to board the bus. Of course, it is always a good idea to carry a government-issued ID whenever you hit the road.

Canceling or Changing Your Go Buses Reservation

Can I make changes to my ticket?

Go Buses ticket dates/times/names/cities cannot be changed, however, if you cancel within the cancellation window (48 hours or more before departure), you can always go ahead and repurchase a new ticket the way you want it. Please see below for cancellation instructions.

Can I cancel my ticket and get a refund?

All Go Buses tickets are refundable more than 48 hours before the scheduled departure time, minus the $4.99 Go Buses processing fee. Please note the $1.00 Wanderu processing fee will be fully refunded upon cancellation of your ticket.

To cancel your Go Buses ticket via your Wanderu user account, please log into your account and click on your Go Buses upcoming trip. Once you open your upcoming trip information, you can follow the prompts to cancel your ticket and your refund will automatically process.

Cancellation requests must be submitted either via your user account or online with us at [email protected] or with Go Buses by phone at 1 (855) 888-7160 or online at, no less than 48 hours before the scheduled departure time. 

If you are requesting to cancel/change your ticket after the 48-hour cancellation/change and you belong to one of Go Buses Silver, Gold or Platinum reward tiers, please contact Go Buses directly at 1 (855) 888-7160 for more information on how you can cancel your ticket.

On Your Day of Travel

Where is the bus?
Please contact Go Buses at 1 (855) 888-7160 for schedule, delay, or station location inquiries and they can let you know when your bus is due to arrive.

I missed my bus! What do I do?
Catching the next trip out or requesting a refund for the unused ticket would be completely up to Go Buses since reservations and transactions are done directly with the carrier.
Usually, no refunds or credits will be given in instances where passengers miss the bus, but you can always contact Go Buses to inquire at 1 (855) 888-7160.
