Effective September 20th, 2023 Wanderu will be processing payments for tickets purchased directly on wanderu.com for travel with FlixBus. Any change or cancellation requests must abide by FlixBus' terms and conditions as provided on the checkout page and below. As of September 12th, 2024 FlixBus has modified their change and cancellation policies as follows:

Changes & Cancellations

If you are unable to travel on your scheduled departure date, you can contact FlixBus directly via their help desk for assistance or click on the link below to modify your existing reservation:

All tickets are non-exchangeable and non-refundable after the bus has departed.

With FlixBus, you can cancel your ticket up to 15 minutes before departure and get a full or partial refund in the form of a voucher. The table below shows how much you will be refunded as of December 15th, 2024. The amount depends on how far in advance you cancel your ticket. For example, if you cancel your ticket 2 days and 3 hours before departure, you will get a 40% refund. The calculation is based on the exact time of departure (hour, minute, second).

Less than 2 days

Between 2 and 6 days

60%

Between 7 and 29 days

30%

Please note that for extras like seat reservations and excess baggage, the refund is 100%. Booking fees and service fees are non-refundable.

If you purchased travel insurance with Allianz when you booked your ticket and are unable to travel on your trip due to a covered reason, you can file a claim for reimbursement - see details here.

If you wish to file a claim with FlixBus you may do so through their website. If require assistance from Wanderu in doing so, please reach out to our team at [email protected] or click on the live chat bubble on the lower right hand side of this screen.
